In 1995, Macromedia's Shockwave technology brought true interactive multimedia to the web.
In 1996, g/matter's shockets take things one step further...
Just what is a shocklet™?
g/matter shocklets are FREE add-ons for internet browsers enhanced with the Shockwave for Director 5 plug-in. While the Shockwave plug-in allows you to view Web sites "Shocked" by Macromedia Director, Authorware and Freehand, g/matter's shockets enable you to enhance your interactive Web experience with a variety of Xtras for Director and Authorware simply by dropping a box of shocklets into the Shockwave support folder.
How do I use my FREE shocklets?
Simply drag the three shocklets (KILLER Transitions V1, PopMenu Xtra and PrintOMatic Xtra) and drop them into the NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave Folder or NP-68K-Dir-Shockwave Folder located in the Plug-ins folder in your Netscape Navigator or other browser folder. Your browser is now "shocklet flavored" and ready to take advantage of the latest Macromedia Xtras technology.
Will my shocklets work with any Shockwave enhanced Website?
g/matter shocklets will only work with Web sites that take advantage of new Xtras such as PrintOMatic, KILLER Transitions and PopMenu Xtra. You can find a list of "shocklet flavored" sites at g/matter's website at http://www.gmatter.com/shocklet.html. You can also look for the "shocklet flavored" brain on sites that take advantage of our shocklet tools.
How can I get more shocklets?
g/matter is currently the only source for shocklets. We will be posting more shocklets in the future at our download area (http://www.gmatter.com/download.html) Keep that page bookmarked to stay current with the latest shocklets for Director, Authorware and Freehand!
